Why Work With Our Children’s Home Consultants?
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and our communication is personable, honest, and human — whether that means picking up the phone for a difficult conversation or meeting for lunch when we’re nearby. Beyond statutory visits, we offer added value through sector insight, Ofsted trend updates, networking opportunities for managers, and access to wider consultancy support such as Mocksted’s and pre-registration guidance. When you work with us, you don’t just get a service — you get a long-term partner committed to your success and the best outcomes for children.

Testimonials
Take a read through some of the testimonials we have received from various children’s home managers, responsible individuals and directors.

From the outset, Andy took time to understand the organisation and build the relationship as a critical friend through regular dialogue. His support and service has been instrumental in helping Beaufort improve the quality of our service for young people through the regulation 44 independent visitors.
As we have grown, Changing Outcomes had grown with us. Providing an increased number of quality independent visitors. In addition to this, Andy and his team have also supported us in developing our supported housing provision by providing professional independent visitor reviews.

We have been working with Changing Outcomes for 4 years now. The Reg 44 visitors are always knowledgeable and familiar with the standards. We have found the visits to be thought provoking and a useful tool for personal and service development. The Reg 44 reports are well written and cover all of the standards thoroughly, with easy to evidence month to month progress on recommendations.

Changing Outcomes have always acted in a professional manner and have been dedicated to helping us set up and develop our service. They have provided helpful feedback and suggestions and have always been willing to offer constructive advice. It is refreshing to have such a positive and constructive relationship with our reg 44 visitor, who offers an invaluable third-party view of the care that we provide.

Having supervision with Changing Outcomes has been so beneficial to me as a newly qualified Children’s Home Manager. Our sessions are a safe and confidential space, where I am able to enhance my professional skills, attitudes, and knowledge in order to achieve competency in providing quality care. My supervisor also gives great advice and shares resources that I can implement into my service. I am really grateful to have been matched with her!

I use Changing Outcomes for my Reg 44 monitoring. I find they provide a professional service and use personnel that are experienced in Residential care and in particular the OFSTED inspection criteria. Every month I am given advice and suggestions to make my service better. The monitoring format is clear and covers all the regulations relating to the Quality Standards. Each month Andrew Roberts picks a theme, and this is explored and discussed during the monitoring visit. Overall, I am very impressed with Changing Outcomes.

Residential Group received a really professional service from Changing Outcomes. The team have been accommodating and very knowledgeable. Nothing has been too much trouble in their support of our Children’s home enquiries and we have had great support both face to face and online. Changing Outcomes has been able to educate us toward the benefit of our young people and the service we are looking to provide. Aftercare has been exemplary and we feel like we have a very knowledgeable ally moving forward with our business plan for the future. We hope that our business relationship with Changing Outcomes is one of longevity and confident that with their support, our business will go from strength to strength.

We spent a lot of time researching consultants in helping us set up our home. After many conversations with Andrew, we decided to go with Changing Outcomes. Even before any payment was made, Andrew was really helpful on the phone answering my questions. Andrew supported us in creating a business plan and financial forecast. He did extensive research in the area we wanted to open a home. He even had a meeting with children’s services in the area we wanted to open a home. Andrew sat with us and explained our business plan and financial forecast at great length. He is always a phone call away for advice and is very honest. With his guidance and support, we have been able to get funding to open our home.

Changing Outcomes has ensured that interviews occur within the required timescales and an in depth report is completed highlighting what happened and suggesting possible methods of reducing / eliminating missing episodes.” The report is centred around the voice of the child and in instances where the child is not willing to engage the interviewer will try different methods before liaising with the adults working at the home to gain detailed information.
